Description: Fine vintage homburg by Stetson. “The Stetson Special”. 1930s/1940s. Color is deep black with a black ribbon. Tag size 1/8. The inner leather sweatband circumference is 21-3/4 inches. Brim is just over 2 inches deep on the sides and 2-1/4 front and back. Classic turned up edge of the brim. Height is about 5-1/2 inches. Black grosgrain ribbon is 2 inches high. Lined and interior leather sweatband. Comes with the original box. The hat was purchased at M. Shwartz, an old-time department store in Poughkeepsie, New York. Wonderful condition, mint. Seems it was never worn. Possibly dead stock.
