Description: Vintage 1937 Religious Gold Plated Pin The dainty fleur de lis pin is styled in gold plated cloisonne work with white enamel. On the top of the pin is a simple gold cross, in the middle the is FA also in gold. I am unsure of what this stands for. It is thought that it might stand for Franciscan Friars of America. Below this in the center of the pin is a crest of the 13 star American flag with five red and white stripes. 1937 finishes the pin's bottom section. The back has a c shaped hook for the pin barb. Sourced in New England. The first 13 star flag was used in America around 1777. With a loupe you can see there is a small hole in the white enamel on the left side of the pin closest to the first red stripe of the shield. Otherwise the pin is in very good condition for its age. 14.8 mm width19.6 mm height Please note that color may vary a small amount because of my lighting. If you have questions please ask and I would be happy to help! -Michelle
