It is the HOME MAKER'S GUIDE published annually by Edmund Kiessling, Oakland, California in 1942. This informative booklet is meant to educate young women in the home especially during wartime conditions. Lots of recipes, chapters on budget and finance as well as beauty and charm, plus a few advertisements and lighthearted illustrations to enliven this edition. As pictured this is a soft covered booklet with 3 staple binding. Measuring 6-1/8" x 9-1/4", it has about 75 pages, although it is not numbered sequentially. The cosmetic condition is good with considerable surface wear and wrinkled corners on the covers as well as edge wear. Inside pages are mostly clean with some subtle wrinkles and slight age discoloration, but overall in good condition. There is one colored advertising post card include and that has transferred some shading onto another page as pictured. Thanks for looking. Please email me if you have any questions!
