Description: Vintage 1950s LANE & CO Flying MALLARD Duck TV Lamp - COOL Scarce SMALL SIZE Its marked C 1959 across the back bottom edge below and to the extreme right of the bakelite electrical socket, also marked LANE & CO VAN NUYS CALIF U.S.A. but partially conceiled behind the socket. This piece is in really great condition. The light works just fine. Vintage item so the usual dust to be expected. Measures about 8 inches wide, 5 inches in depth and about 9-1/2 inches in height, I've had the larger planter lights but never one this small and only the light - cool piece. Pretty good overall condition and in complete working order, no real damage, minimal crazing, Bakelite electrical socket is in fine shape, no cracks or damage, cord is good other than an old taped repair - I had no hesitation in plugging it in for testing purposes. The low wattage bulb used will be removed and packed in bubble-wrap to protect it. Obviously, these lamps are not antiques, however, they are still desirable today as decorator/designer pieces and are highly sought after by the many people that follow the trends of the 50’s and 60’s.
