Vintage PRISTINE 1955-58 Eterna-matic Centenaire Chronometer_1429U

Description: For your consideration. A near perfect 1950s Eterna-matic Chronometer grade Centenaire. This watch is beautiful and in great condition. This model Centenaire has the original script and is much rarer than the later versions. The Case is polished stainless steel. Despite its age, there are minimal scratches on the case. This case also features the large fancy lugs. Cat 6 0'clock side serial # is 3917106 indicating it is from 1955. Caseback is unmarked with minimal scratches. Inside caseback is signed Eterna watch company. The Crystal has some surface scratches that can probably be buffed out, but does not detract from viewing the dial. Dial is very minimal and in great condition. There is some age spots throughout that adds some patina. Silver applied stick indices around the perimeter along with raised minute track. SIlver hands complete the dial. Lettering is robust and Chronometer is prominent below 12 o'clock and above Eterna symbol. Below symbol is Eterna-matic. Finally above 6-o'clock is the beautiful flowing script Centenaire lettering. This script was changed around 1957. This early script is more rare and I feel has a more desirable look. Inside the 1429U movement features 21 jewels and has the serial # 4228596 dating it to 1958. Movement is working as it should and appears in very good condition. This is paired with a black leather strap. Watch is sold AS-IS. I do my best to provide detail through pictures and the description. Please ask questions.
