You are looking at a gorgeous older Astatic E5G model microphone desk stand from the late 1950's or 60's that comes with the original hammered silver paint scheme and 6 inch chrome riser. This particular stand has a fairly low profile and it's very lite weight. This E5G model stand is ideal for all small, medium and a few larger sized microphones as well as all mic clips. Pic # 2 shows this very mic stand in an old 1940's Astatic catalog. The E5G model has a cast aluminum base with silver paint and 3 original rubber pads on the bottom to keep the stand from scratching any surface it sits on. This was an affordable microphone stand that didn't cost an arm and a leg like some of the cast iron stands with a chrome finish. The E5G had a modern elegant design only 7 1/2 inches tall X 5 1/2 inches wide. As you can see there is just very lite wear on the base. Just a couple tiny chips, fine scratches and scuff marks. There are no dents, fractures or corrosion and the polished chrome riser looks great. The 3 pads are excellent as well. The Astatic badge looks very nice and completely legible. I'd rate this stand a conservative 8 on a scale of 1 - 10 though many would rate higher. This will be a great stand for your Astaic 77A, DNHZ, DR10 or any older screw on mic for that matter.
