Description: ***********FOR PARTS/REPAIR - Although the date and time can be set and the crown can be wound the movement does not run. Given this and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is required.***********This seldom seen vintage 1960's Omnia has a "SWISS MADE" signed dial that has aged naturally and uniquely to a truly special bluish brown and the lume, which emits a faint, short-lived glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully. The lume at the tip of the minute hand may have been relumed at some point. The black world time bezel, which shows wear and rotates bidirectionally, presents nicely. The chrome-plated case shows honest wear and brassing. There is a stamped country code or Swiss hallmark on the top of the left lug at 12 o'clock. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "TESTED AT 200 FEET - STAINLESS STEEL BACK - GUARANTEED WATERPROOF" with "ELECTRONICALLY TIMED - ANTIMAGNETIC - SWISS MADE" stamped along the inner edge. The crystal shows scratching. The 21 jewels EB 8127 automatic movement with quickset date is clean but does not run. The date and time can be set and the non-screwdown crown can be wound. The quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 21 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. Given that the movement does not run and considering its unknown service history (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back or on the movement) a complete overhaul is required. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 38.5 mm including the crown and approximately 18.5 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9.5 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures 11.5 mm. Given that the movement does not run and considering its unknown service history a complete overhaul is required. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. For this watch that time is now. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. Please thoroughly read this entire listing and kindly ask any and all questions you may have prior to buying as this sale is final and no refunds of any kind will be given. And please study the 12 high magnification pictures carefully as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch.Expedited and insured shipping along with signature confirmation will be provided. Thanks for looking! ***********FOR PARTS/REPAIR - Although the date and time can be set and the crown can be wound the movement does not run.
