Vintage (1965) Disston Porter Canada Big Chief 12 ft. Metal Tape Measure.

We don't know the exact date of manufacture for this item, but we do know that "Disston Porter" only existed from 1955 to 1972. The 1969 Disston Porter Canada Catalog says this about this tape measure: "Big Chief. 3/4 inch wide white blade. Extra rigid blade designed for long overhead and reach-in measurements. Bold black markings on snow white blade. Graduated in 26ths with stud markings every 16 inches. Converts inches to feet at a glance. Swing tip. Crack-proof rust proof blade surface and markings. Sturdy chrome-plated case. The lightest 3/4" wide rule on the market. Stand up base." Given the above, we're guessing this was made in the mid to late 1960s...so we're calling it 1965. Condition isGood, Used. This is a fully operational tape measure. There is some evidence of use throughout the piece. The blade is dirty and has some tape residue in spots.
