Vintage 1970's Chalet Webster 60 M Diver w/Patina,Teal Bezel FOR PARTS/REPAIR

Description: ***********FOR PARTS/REPAIR - The manual wind movement does not run nor does the date wheel roll over. Although the time can be set without issue the movement is not engaged when the non-screwdown crown is being wound. Additionally I'm unable to get the snap case back on more than what can be seen in the pictures. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required.***********This vintage 1970's Chalet Webster has a black and blue "T SWISS MADE T" signed dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition as it shows wear. The lume, which remains fully intact, no longer glows after being exposed to bright light. The teal colored bezel, which shows wear and number fading, rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension. The chrome-plated case shows honest wear and oxidation/brassing. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "STAINLESS STEEL BACK - 60M - 200 FEET TESTED - PRECISION BACK - SWISS MADE" with "WEBSTER WATCH CO. INC." followed by "SWISS MADE" stamped on the inside of the case back. The crystal shows scratching and spotting/dust/debris on its underbelly. The 1 jewel unadjusted Swiss "WEBSTER WATCH CO." stamped manual wind movement does not run nor does the date wheel roll over. Although the time can be set without issue the movement is not engaged when the non-screwdown crown is being wound. Additionally I'm unable to get the snap case back on more than what can be seen in the pictures. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 40 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 11 mm. The lug to lug distance measures approximately 44 mm. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. For this watch that time is now.
