Vintage 1970's Shure 565S Dynamic cardioid microphone w accessories 565 SM58 # 4

Description: Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at a classic 1970's Shure Brothers 565S (Unisphere 1) dynamic cardioid microphone set at low impedance but wired Hi Z with the cable provided. It's actually a dual Z mic but again the cable is Hi Z. It comes with the longer cable in which to operate. This 565S model was introduced in the early 1960's and was a widely used mic by many famous musicians and broadcasters. The 565S came with the lower pistol grip designed to screw onto any stand you have and it has the on / off switch. The standard 565 & 565SD model was a basic stick mic and it's fair to say that the 565S stands out in a very good way. Pic # 2 is from an old Shure catalog showing this very 565S model and other variants of the 565 models being sold at that time. A very high quality Shure product that can compete with even the best dynamic cardioid mics of today. Many of these older models had an even higher quality build which is testament to why 50 years later they still work like new and sound amazing. The 565 series microphone had a reputation of being very rugged and durable...much like the SM-58 microphone of today. The 565S set at Low Z has a very more, smooth tone but a bit more mid range. Again, this one is set at Hi Z so it's a better option for a HAM radio or for a guitar amplifier. Just a little less bass in the Hi Z mode. This 565S has been cleaned and tested and while it's not the prettiest example I have for sale it still sounds just like the day it was first manufactured. It's priced very reasonably as well. This mic is an excellent choice for both broadcasting and singing purposes and excellent uni-directional characteristics blocking out most background noise. As you can see in the pictures provided the satin chrome finish shows a bit of cosmetic wear but still has a nice luster. There are several spots of pitting on the satin chrome finish but free of scratches, dents or engravings. The black plastic fitting looks very nice as does the Shure label that encircles the lower globe. The chrome globe shows zero dents and has no odors but there is some lite tarnish. The mic has a new inner foam liner / pop filter under the globe to help with unwanted feedback from wind or strong breathing. No loose parts. It should be noted that the threading for the cable is in excellent condition. This mic will screw onto any desk or floor stand you have. The mic comes with a longer original 16 foot 4 pin cable to operate this mic. The cable is very soft and pliable and has the standard Switchcraft male 1/4 inch end connector. The cable works perfectly. If you demand a perfect working 565S mic in the High Z setting...look no further. Hook this one up and you are ready for any live event.
