Description: Vintage 1980s The Cockpit Avirex Aviator Shearling Leather Overcoat Size 42 This jacket is out of this world. It is extremely heavy, weighing in at just over 7 pounds. I have assessed that it is from 1989 or earlier as there was an investment slip in the pocket of the jacket dating from February of 1989. The leather has aged nicely and there are signs of normal leather wear such as checking which adds beautiful character to the piece. Everything about the jacket is wonderful. It is beyond a quality piece of attire. The model in the photos is 5’10” and 155 lbs. I would say the jacket is a little big on them and would best fit somebody over 6’ tall.
