Description: Up for sale is an Ibanez AS-50AV Artist Series guitar that was made in Japan. It’s in excellent shape, but has a few very small dings in the top. It has been taken care of incredibly well and shows little wear. I purchased this from the original owner, who had the original pickups swapped out in the early 80’s to a Seymour Duncan JB set, this particular set was wound by MJ (see pics for her sticker). This guitar sounds and plays fantastic. The pickups have very clear tonality with no mid range mud. They are great for jazz, classic blues, early Rock n Roll. They have such excellent sustain and round, clear tone. I can go on and on, but hopefully you get the gist. They are nice loud pickups, with no hum or issues. There is no fret wear worth mentioning. It seems like a new guitar, but is in fact 43 years old. This particular model was only made from 1981-83. The appointments are more along the lines of a 335 dot, without the fancy Ibanez touches of the other Artist Series models. This is a solidly constructed instrument ready for use. The original hang tag is also included, as well as (I assume) the original case. Original pickups not included.
