Description: Vintage 1983 1-inch 1” Threaded Wide Lugged Crown 26 MTB Fork Univega Alpina Pro Here is a used 1983 mountain bike fork in 1-inch diameter size. Also includes working Tange New Levin chrome headset that has spent its whole life on the fork. This fork was original to a 1983 Univega Alpina Pro and was removed because the bicycle frame’s seat tube lug failed. Fits 26” wheels and has a very wide crown to accomodate big tires. Steerer tube is 192mm long—please measure your headtube and headset stack height to verify fit. Axle to crown measurement is 380mm. Dark burgundy/maroon paint is original and shows scratches and wear marks. This is an older fork that was made before fork dropouts had safety tabs, so it is critical for safe use of the fork that the wheel skewer be tensioned properly.
