Description: Vintage 1986 Gorgeous Tudor inn entitled The Crown Inn by Malcolm Cooper - 1986 - Hand made and hand painted in the studios and workshops of John Hine Ltd. Hampshire, Great Britain. Nice condition and such great attention to detail. On the back t is a rectangular embossed plate that runs almost the whole length of the building. IT reads: "The Crown Inn - One of the oldest inns in England. The Crown Inn stands proudly beside the green in the centre of the quiet village of Chiddingfold deep in the Surrey countryside. Built in the 13th Century it became an inn in 1383 and played an important part in the thriving glass making industry.l In 1552 young King Edward VI stayed at The Crown Inn whilst on his way to nearby Cowdray Castle. The inn is still the village pub to this day but now boasts a very fine restaurant and a "kings suite" - Edward VI bedroom! Has a c Malcolm Cooper 1986 embossed on the lower right back.
