Vintage 1988 Jerry Mentzer The Big Bet $50 Magic Effect Routine Card Trick

Vintage 1988 Jerry Mentzer The Big Bet $50 Magic Effect Routine Card Trick Effect: Six cards are placed face down on the table. The performer states that one of the cards is a winner and that others are losers - the performer gets one chance and the remainder belong tot he spectators. If the spectator gets the winning card, he gets $50.00. The card at one of the six positions is selected as the performer's card by a spectator rolling a fair die. The five remaining cards are shown to be blank. The one chosen for the performer is imprinted with $50.00. This effect closely parallels an effect marketed by Al Cohen titled "Dot's Impossible". Al kindly granted permission for Jerry Mentzer to market this similar effect in a more deluxe edition and with a few added wrinkles. Both effects depend upon Ed Marlo's "Olram Subtlety". While not essential, the die adds interest to the effect and makes it seem just a bit more plausible that the entire thing depends totally upon chance. This item came from the estate of a home magician. Comes with complete instructions and gimmicked cards to do the effect. However - PLEASE NOTE: the instructions says it comes with 6 additional blank cards to customize the effect. There are only 3 additional blank cards. They are the blue bicycle cards as shown in the last picture and shouldn't be too hard to locate. Again, they are only needed if you want to customize the effect.
