Description: Vintage 20" Schwinn Stingray Bicycle 1" Threaded Blade Fork ( Your Option Choice from the Menu ) This auction is for your choice of Vintage Schwinn Stingray Fork, NOS After Market, and or a Chrome fork Cap and New VSF Crown Race from the pull down menu. The Forks were used on Vintage 20" Schwinn Stingray Bikes like: Stingray, Deluxe Stingray, Junior, Fastback, Fair Lady, Slik Chik, and Stardust, etc..., Fork would probably work on other 20" Wheel Vintage Schwinn non Stingray Models Like: Typhoon. Some forks are for Vintage 20" Schwinn Stingray Bikes with 20" x 1 3/4" S-7 Front Rim and Wheel. The Fork is used, straight, 1" threaded fork tube, is processed Cleaned, Threads have been cleaned, obstructions removed, inside honed and is ready to use. The Short Mens Fork has a 5 1/4" fork tube with approximately 1" of thread for the short 4" mens head tube (measurement without cups). I suspect Chrome fork with brake hole is for a BMX Stingray, the threading is cut unevenly but still has a 5 1/4" fork tube. The Red Mens Fork with brake hole is over painted of a Original Red fork. The Orange Mens with brake hole is Nice Original paint I suspect Cool Orange. The Ladies Fork With or Without Brake Hole, the tube is 6 5/8" long has approximately 1" of thread and fits a 5 3/8" Vintage Schwinn Headtube (measurement without cups). The New Old Stock "NOS" After-market forks are made Universally Long and you cut them down to the size you need. The NOS Fork without brake hole has approximately a 7 1/2" fork tube with 4" of thread. The NOS Fork with a brake hole has approximately a 6" fork tube with 3 1/4" of thread. Once Painted and Installed it is very hard to tell a After-market fork to an Original. The Short Mens Repaint Fastback Fork has a 5 1/4" fork tube with approximately 1" of thread for the short 4" mens head tube (measurement without cups). The Fast Back fork has a Brake hole and is for 20" x 1 3/8" S-5 or S-6 Rims and wheels. Your selection will tell and show the item and individual condition with close up of the threads. The forks are for 1966-1980 bikes and have a 21.1mm 13/16" inner diameter and would use stems and top nuts of that diameter. The Chrome Fork Crown Cap / Dressing and VSF Crown Race is an Add on. Although if your selection Shows it, it comes as shown with old used race and cap installed. Most of the cost is in the combined shipping and buying this alone is not the wisest purchase. Fork Crown is used and Pretty Clean. The VSF ( Vintage Schwinn Flat ) Crown Race is a New Remake of the Original and only Works with Schwinn Flat OG Bearings. Newer Headsets require a different Crown Race. We sell a New OG headsets for this fork in our ebay store. There is and option for loose or installed, Installed will be installed for you, I would choose this option if the patina is good for you and you want a fork ready to go.
