Description: Here is a really gorgeous light blue vintage 1950’s - 1960’s cocktail dress. There is no label or size tag, so please see measurements. It has 2 layers sewn together, a sheer outer layer and a solid under layer. The sash is sewn that way, you do not need to manually tie it, it is perfectly in place. The top part of the dress has more of a lavender hue to it, and also an area under the sash that you don’t see. The lining seems lavender vs blue, especially on the bodice, please see photos. It kind of has a little bit of an ombré effect, please see photos (I tried to fold it to show how the colors). Laying flat, it measures 16” from underarm to underarm, 12.5” at the waist, 14.5” from shoulder seam to shoulder seam, and 41.5” in total length. The hips are free. I wear a modern say size 2-4, with a 32 bust and 25.5” waist and this dress fits me snugly with no shapewear. To me this looks like something Betty Draper would wear on Mad Men, its such a cute style. Other than the color issue, this dress is in excellent condition with no tears or stains, its pretty crisp. I purchased this as vintage about 10-15 years ago, tried it on, put it in my collection and never actually wore it.
