Description: On the block: One (1) vintage 1950's IXL Presents "Mr. Icksel" advertising promotional pinback button. It measures approx 2.25 inches from side to side and features a yellow background with red lettering. Multi shell pressed construction with metal back and spring pin. No date or makers marks. In good used condition with marks commensurate of a 55+ year old button. No large scratches, image loss or dents. There is a raised dimple and some smaller dings and scuffs. Great color and printing. Darkening from handling/age on the back. See pics. IXL Food Company was a canned meat company that opened in the 1950s. IXL developed the "Mr. Icksel” character as an advertising campaign that helped consumers understand the pronunciation of the IXL brand. Photos are of the actual item that you will receive.
