Description: Vintage original 1950's/1960's very rare and hard to find Santa Claus Christmas puppet toy mint in the original box MIB. The box measures 10 1/8" long and reads "String Puppet, Santa Claus, No. 105, Made In Japan". Santa is made of a cloth body with white trim, plastic hands, hand painted handpainted composite plaster type head (like the old 1960's nodders / bobbleheads) with red and white fabric hat cap and heavy dense heavy ceramic (I think) black boots. He has a separate white linen bag to put over his shoulder. Santa's head measures almost 4" long. Santa is very sturdy and heavy. He has two wood wooden controllers and many multi-color strings that will need to be untangled. Santa is in near mint to mint condition as pictured and displays beautifully with great colors and details. The box is in excellent condition with some storage wear and a price sticker that reads "Pomeroy's, 9 5 830, 1.66, 2.49" with "2.49" lined out in red and "1.66" hand written in red.
