Description: Vintage 70s Heuer Monza 150.501 PVD Chronograph Watch Calibre 15 Strap READ ALL This classic 1970's Heuer Monza chronograph watch will make a great addition to your collection. It is in used/worn condition as described below and features a graphite tone PVD case, is Swiss made, includes what appears to be the original back and includes the leather style band that was on it when I purchased it. I tested the functionality out for around 36 hours by wearing it and it kept the time as it should. Both of the smaller dials appear to work as expected (to my knowledge, but I am not an expert) however the reset button function needs to be adjusted as it resets the chronograph second counter hand to the 4 second mark rather than top center which I have read can be an issue with these. I found instructions for adjusting the reset function online and while it seems rather simple, I wasn't brave enough to try it out as vintage chronograph watches are not my area of expertise. I do not know if the band is original to the watch but I found at least one online vintage watch site that includes the same band style/texture/color with this model of watch and referenced it as the original band but I wasn't able to definitively confirm one way or another if it is the style of band that was originally sold with the watch. The watch lug is 20mm and the widest part of the band measures 19.23mm wide so I am not sure if it is a 20mm that has compressed over time or if it was originally a 19mm. Thank you and enjoy! ITEM DETAILS: Approximate weight of the watch without the band is 67g. Approximate weight of band components is 8g.The watch measures approximately 13.89mm deep x 41.15mm wide x 44mm tall. The part of the strap that includes the buckle is approximately .25" x .75" x 3.5", the other strap is approximately .125" x .75" x 4.5".Condition: In vintage pre-owned used condition with wear including worn down graphite tone surface finish on the case, worn away graphite tone surface finish on all edges and corners, the corners and edges of the case/lugs/crystal/back include dents/dings/scratches/indented marks, the crystal includes quite a bit of scuffing/hazing/scratching/abrasions/dents/dings/chips, the right back edge of the case by the 2 chronograph buttons includes chipping along the edge with the base metal showing through as shown in photos, there are dents/dings/scratches on the crown & buttons, there are dents/dings on the corners of the lugs with the base metal showing through, fine abrasions/scratching over all of the metal surfaces & plating, there is gunk/grime/dirt caked into the crevices/indentations/details on the case and back cover, when you tap on the crystal with your finger it makes a noise that sounds like it might be slightly loose, patina, tarnish, dulling, dents, dings, discoloring, fading, worn away surface finish on the inside faces of the lugs and overall wear from age, use and handling. The lug pins are dirty and have gunk/verdigris/grime/rust on them and one of the lug pins has came apart with the end coming loose and inner spring coming out. The leather band has stiffened, is bowed out of shape/curved, creases where the strap has worn against the buckle, flaking black finish, cracks in the leather, fraying, stains, discoloring, folds, heavy creases, brittleness, scratches, abrasions, scuffing, the gold tone metal buckle has plating loss, verdigris, patina, tarnish, scratches, abrasions, gunk, grime, dulling, pitting and overall heavy wear from age and handling.
