Mirandamoved the aperture selector for the light metering system from the front to the top, right under the rewind lever. The design changed to a more modern look, which included modification removal of the decorative trim on the front of the prism housing, and a new set of VFE finders. Like the former model, the II could also be used without a finder. Focussing was made easier by adding a circle with split screen. The camera was equipped with the Miranda bayonet, but one could also screw in the older Miranda lenses which used their own M44 thread.
