Vintage A. Santini Sculpture Colonial Victorian Man Woman Couple Signed Italy

Description: Vintage A. Santini Sculpture Figurines Colonial Victorian Man Woman Couple Signed Italy This pair of vintage A. Santini figurines was found at an estate sale. It includes a man and woman figurine in a Colonial Victorian style outfit. Both of the figurines are signed "A. Santini DEP" on the base at the back. Both of the figurines have a gold foil sticker on the bottom which says, "Sculptor A. Santini, Classic Figure, Made in Italy". The material is not ivory but a compound of marble, alabaster and resin that was poured into a mold and then hand-finished. The female figurine measures approximately 6.08" high x 2.40" wide x 2.08" deep. The male figurine measures approximately 5.80" high x 2.01" wide x 2.06" deep. Please note that there is some vintage wear which includes normal discoloration as a spot on the neck of the female. Both of the figurines have a very tiny notch or small fleabite on the base. They both may need to be cleaned. I have not cleaned them to preserve their vintage state. They are still both in good vintage condition and very unique and lovely. This pair would be a great collectible and would also look nice on a shelf. Amilcare Santini was a sculptor born in Florence, Italy in 1910. His firm reproduces sculptures based on his original designs, and those of several other artists. Though he died in 1975, the firm remains in business and is still run by his family. Please note that most of my items come from estate sales and could need cleaning and since it is vintage some wear is normal.
