Description: Vintage Abstract sculpture of 'Embracing Lovers' - Dimensions are ; 10 3/16" high , 7 3/8" wide at the elbows , 3 1/4" deep . Material is deep maroon toned 'bone resin' . This piece is a very simple abstraction of an embracing couple , seemingly a man behind a woman holding her as she tilts her head to the side and engages romantically with him . The smooth nature and rounded elements are pleasing and inviting and the work exhibits an emotional understanding of the moment captured in form . The deep rich maroon color intensifies the effect achieved by the sculptor perfectly and magnifies the passion of the moment . There is no signature or marking anywhere and the material employed ( which we've come across before ) is very dense and very heavy having the feel and weight of soapstone . We currently have no information about the artist even after repeated attempts at research .
