Description: Vintage Amacord Guitar Strap, HENDRIX WOODSTOCK Pattern, EC. This is the legendary Ace strap style that Jimi Hendrix wore at Woodstock and many other concerts, also Elvis Presley wore one at his '68 comeback concert. Many claim a Hendrix Woodstock strap to get attention, but this is the only real one, see the last photo. It's the strap to own for many people, a jacquard, Saugarties pattern, very attractive and inspiring to look at, and wear. There has never been such a well designed, good-looking strap made, ever, to most people's eyes. 40-50 year old strap and while this strap has had light use it was well taken care of and is in excellent condition. It doesn't feel beat up and weak in the hand like some originals do. Made by the renowned Ace company who owned this design, this one was private labeled (common) for Amarcord which you can see faintly in the photo below. The width is 2" and about 54" long when extended, and it comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home. These are going for up to $300-400 on ebay, some have loose threads, pull-ups and all. This one is fairly priced given the rising market for these. It also has the quality black leather backing you don't often find, many have a light brown leather looking backing that doesn't appear to hold the threads in as well, and which come loose with time. The buckle is in excellent shape as these go, no rust or other aging frequently found on these. There were two styles of this pattern from Amacord, the one I'm selling is the more attractive and desirable, looks better in the hand. The other one has more black area between the rows of design elements and looks a little more coarse to the eye and not as fine of a design.
