VINTAGE Ancient Egypt Embroidered Throw Pillow Cover Heka Crook Snake Protection

The rectangular pillow cover measures approximately 18.5 inches long and 17.6 inches wide (nearly square) and features a colorful design on linen/canvas in the middle square and cotton blend material. The person holding the heka (sheep tending hook) and the snake above their head represents protection from evil people/evil deeds/general mayhem and chaos. The snake also can represent royalty and divinity and being above the person's head is considered a good omen. The person is reaching out to touch a red Egyptian star flower which typically represents love and passion in multiple cultures. This pillow cover is a great addition to any room and comes with a zipper closure to securely hold a pillow inside. The cover is spot clean only and shouldn't be machine washed. I'm unsure what country this was made in or if it was handmade (looks like it may have been but not certain) or not so please keep that in mind. The fabric is nice and thick and the borders seem to be a cotton (blend?) with a canvas like material in the off white background square. *** THERE ARE SOME WHITE MARKINGS THAT I MADE SURE TO POINT OUT USING A MARKER IN THE PHOTOS SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU'RE AWARE OF THAT. IT'S LOCATED BETWEEN THE FACE OF THE EGYPTIAN AND THE HAND THAT IS OUTSTRETCHED TOWARDS THE FLOWERS. THERE IS ALSO A LITTLE BIT OF WEAR TO THE CORNERS WHICH APPEARS TO BE FABRIC FADING MAKING THEM A BIT LIGHTER IN APPEARANCE BUT ITS NOT VERY NOTICEABLE. THERE IS A BIT OF THIS ON THE BACK TOO TOWARDS THE LEFT SIDE. BESIDES THIS THERE IS JUST SOME LIGHT GENERAL WEAR AND DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS ITEM, PLEASE BE AWARE THERE ARE FLECKS IN THE FIBERS THAT ARE SLIGHTLY OFF COLOR WHEN YOU LOOK UP CLOSE BUT THIS IS NATURALLY THE WAY IT WAS MADE. I THINK THIS IS DUE TO THE FABRIC BEING UNBLEACHED AND MORE NATURAL BUT I CAN'T BE CERTAIN OF THAT BECAUSE I'M NOT AN EXPERT IN THAT AREA (MAYBE ONE DAY!) THIS CASE IS VERY CLEAN, INSIDE AND OUT.
