Description: This vintage Ankerlicht Latern is a beautiful addition to any nautical or maritime collection. Manufactured in the Netherlands by Den Haan Rotterdam Ankerlicht. Company was founded in 1922 by Marnus den Haan to primarily manufacture tin nautical items but after a few years expanded to produce ship lanterns. The business was almost completely destroyed during WWII but was revived by a few skilled workers and was slowly transitioned from hand production to mechanized production.The lantern features a glossy copper finish and comes with a chain included for easy installation. The lamp has a flickering effect on the bulb, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The lantern is a medium size with the base alone measuring 14.5 inches height. With the handle extended it is 16 inches in height. It is 10-inch wide across the base and rope brackets. It has a solid color pattern and is available in multicolor. The lamp is controlled by a wall switch and has an amperage of 110A. This licensed reproduction comes with a swag mounting kit included for easy installation. Please see the 8th picture for a small chip in the glass and a few minor scratches. Please understand there can be many variations in used items and/or antique/vintage items. This includes, but is not limited to, size, weight, air bubbles, texture, thickness, shade, shape, and variations in color and creation/manufacturing marks.
