Description: Vintage Antique Japanese Keyaki Wood Ceremonial Tea Hibachi. Wonderful, solid and intact original condition. Measurements are 16" x 16" x 29", not including the copper insert. As shown the copper insert adds 2.5" to the height. The copper pan insert is elevated by 2 stands inside the base to provide a strong base for display. Original patina on copper, 2 handles inside the insert, 1 on each side, to make lifting the insert easy...see pictures. There a few deep scratches that were restained for cosmetic purposes. The back shows were the the wood was probably backed something and zhows some loss of finish. The 5 drawers are so immaculate inside they appear unused. The special wood has a beautiful, flowing grain easily identiying it as keyaki. The copper tray/insert was used to hold the previous owner's prized bonsai per his wife. Pictures show both sides, the back, the bottom and the inside of the hibachi's open well, plus the 2 stands used to elevate the copper pan insert.
