This beautifully illustrated chart shows ants in their natural environment and in some anatomical detail. SIZE (approx)Width (including poles):95cmLength: 114cm(without poles 84cm x 111cm) CONDITIONPrinted on paper, it is backed with canvas and has black wooden poles top and bottom. This chart has spent most of its life rolled up in a school cupboard so the colours are still bright.Obviously these charts are not new so please check all photos before purchase. This chart is in good condition, there is some wear across the chart, notably the bottom and top middle These old charts were produced as educational tools for schools and colleges by teacher Heinrich Jung, artist and biologist Gottlieb von Koch and college director, Doctor Friedrich Quentell. First published by Frommann and Morian in the early 1900's Hagemann became involved in the production around 1946 first in conjunction with Frommann and Morian then on their own from around 1963.You can find modern reprints of these charts from many online sellers but they lack the atmosphere and history of the vintage ones.
