It is made of high-quality cotton fabric and is Dry Clean only, ensuring its longevity. The skirt has no size tag but best fits a size medium (6-8) and has a mid-rise fit. Its maxi circle style and Christmas theme make it a unique addition to any wardrobe. It still has the original artisan tag attached! Virtually perfect but it got caught on something so I minor stitched repair was made about halfway down the red part of the skirt. It will likely be hidden in the folds. See the pix! The vintage skirt is handmade in the Eastern State of Orissa, India by small family coops and showcases the talent of the artisan. Orissa is famous for its Sun Temple Konarak and Jagannath temple at Puri. Many of these families’ ancestors did hand appliquéd procession fans and umbrellas for religious processions led by Hindu spiritual leaders and Maharajas. It is perfect for winter and fall seasons and can be worn to Christmas parties or cocktail events. Approximate measurements taken by hand: 12” across the very stretchy gathered elastic waist 37” total length 37 1/2” across the bottom of the skirt.
