Description: ITEM DESCRIPTION: Scarce Vintage 1950s Armand Duval Seahunter Caliber AS 1580 41-Jewel Gold-Plated & Stainless Steel Automatic Chronometer Wristwatch This wristwatch is approximately 34.5 mm in diameter (37 mm with crown) and 42 mm in total length including lugs; the lug width is approximately 17.7 mm.The black glossy dial is in excellent condition - see photos. The dial is signed "ARMAND DUVAL CHRONOMETER SEAHUNTER SELFWINDING 41 JEWELS SWISS" - see photos. The crystal is in good used condition - see photos.The gold-plated and stainless steel compressor-style case with crosshatch crown is in attractive condition with some characteristic wear on the edges of the bezel and lugs; there are also some tool marks on the lugs - see photos. The case back is signed "STAINLESS STEEL BACK ANTIMAGNETIC SHOCKPROTECTED WATERPROOF 33659" - see photos. The inside of the case back is signed "ARMAND DUVAL WATCH CO SWISS STAINLESS STEEL BACK" - see photos. The dark brown leather strap with goldtone tang buckle is a replacement - see photos. The movement is signed "ARMAND DUVAL WATCH CO SWISS FORTYONE 41 JEWELS ADJUSTED FIVE 5 POSITIONS 33659" - see photos. It sets and winds smoothly with some resistance.
