Cast from polished brass, this exceptional work of art features a pendant with three connected sections; the outer sections represent waves. The middle section shows a figure from Greek mythology - a mermaid - half woman/half fish - with long, flowing hair blowing on a horn, luring ships and sailors to their deaths. The pendant is liberally covered in tassels and framed by a decorative chain of hand-forged elongated links that add to the uniqueness of the piece. Curiously, the necklace isn't signed and we don't know why. But we do know the initials 'CM' on the back are code for the price of this piece. It's an easy but reliable reference system used by Lozano, his wife and son at their gallery in Puerto Vallarta. CONDITION: Excellent. This necklace isn't marked, though Lozano's jewelry is easily identifiable via an internet search.
