Description: You are looking at a beautiful Arcam Delta 90 Stereo Amplifier. In fully working condition, this is a rare and great quality amp from the late 80's. Serial number 000782 (assume this is the 782nd amp to come off the line?) Comes with the original user manual with the purchase date and price written on (£329 in 1987, over £900 in today's money!). 2 x Tape in and outputs, CD, Tuner and Phono for turntable (Arcam calls this "Disc"). Phono has a Moving Magnet or Moving Coil switch, with ground. *** Please note*** from research, it appears the amp doesn't have the MM additional board fitted, this was an optional extra at the time of purchase but makes no difference to use a MM cartridge with it. I have done and it sounds great. More important that the amp can run a MC cartridge. Solid metal construction with slide off top case for easy access for servicing. Has the large toroid (donut) power transformer, everything looks and feels very well put together and is a heavy old unit. Sound wise - very real and flat, monitor-esque. Detail is crisp but an overblown v sound it isn't. Ideal if you like to listen to your music as it was created, not as a manufacturer thinks it should sound. Overall an excellent, understated, high quality amplifier for a quality separates build. Collect Chester or I can post via tracked courier service. If you are within a 50 mile radius, I may be able to drop off and avoid the post risks. Many thanks for looking!
