The #49 was used in a good amount of Prewar headsets and some postwar. This #49 remake Bearing has 15 x 3/16" balls and has a out side Diameter of 1 35/64". 1 35/64" is also the inner diameter of the cup it installs into. Please Measure your Needs to be Sure. I have also heard of these to be called 1 17/32" so if your 1/64 off it shouldn't matter. The #49 Bearing is the Headset Bearing for Rollfast / D.P. Harris / H.P. Snyder Bikes, and bikes Made By Them - Including Some Early Elgins, Some Hawthornes, and a Long List of Bikes made by Rollfast / D.P. Harris / H.P. Snyder. The #49 Bearing is the Headset Bearing for Most Westfield / Columbia Bicycles from the Ballooner era forward Note: some early pope used a different Bearing with a 17 x 5/32 balls. The #49 was also used on some Miami, Pierce, and Great Western Bicycles. Once again Measure to be sure.
