Vintage Black Forest Style Carved Castle Armorial Shield Fleur de Lis & Key Oak

Description: For Sale Attractive carved antique or vintage wall hanging shield, in the Black forest style but thought to be French , with an armorial detail carved to front , Fleur de lis to top and large Key to center also has 4 candle sticks in sections. Finely carved in old Oak , this wall hanging would sit easily in most settings and be a thoughtful focal point .May have been hung in a country house castle or chateau . I have not researched the armorial detail or which coat of arms it displays .Condition is good for age , back shows bare Oak dried slightly , the top rung appears to stick out just slightly to one side , probably due to age and the lower section drying out . carvings to front all look good . An interesting carved historic Piece .
