Description: This is a set of 10 bookmarks, made in different countries and of different materials. Some are handmade, and only one has a date I'm sure of. A great set for heavy readers, or to pass out to friends and family with a gift book!1. Handmade tatting (?) from Brussels. Purchased in late 1980's or early 90's. Has not been used. 7"2. Bought in Wyoming or Montana in late 80s or early 90s. Unused. Made in China. Made of heavy paper stock/cardboard. Picture of bison on front and info is on back. 7"3. Children's bookmark, The Ten Commandments. Cardboard, 6.5" Plain back. Used but very good shape. No bends or creases.4. The Ten Commandments, embroidered with blue thread on fabric and covered in plastic. Used, but excellent. Almost 6"5. The yellow bookmark is fabric embroidered with purple thread. No covering but in very good shape. Has a cross at the top, a Bible verse, a message and name of a person involved in the ministry this is a part of. From the Netherlands. Personality!6-7. The next 2 bookmarks were purchased at the China Exhibit at the 1982 World's Fair in Knoxville,TN. One is made of Chinese-style paper to create a woman. My mother wrote the names of her friends at the bottom who gave it to her. 6" The other is thin balsa wood with a wood engraving (I don't know what to call it - burning?) on the front, and Chinese symbols lightly carved into the back. There is a green ribbon tied through a hole in the top. Mother wrote the World's Fair info at the bottom. Like new, except the ribbon is a little worn.Is 4.5"8-9. These 2 bookmarks are crocheted/ tatted. The white crocheted one is 5.5", but with the blue ribbon woven through strip, it is about 8". It is lovely, clean. Only wear is on ends of ribbon. The second one is crocheted (?) out of multicolored thread into a cross. It's 4" x 2.5". Not sure of the age, but probably made by a grandmother or great aunt in my family. Beautiful heritage.10. The last bookmark is a commemorative gold-plated one of the Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth, Mass. It is a depiction of children churning butter. A bit of history on the back cover. 3" Obviously unused as still in package in which it was purchased. Due to rising costs in shipping, I have been sending packages by USPS Ground Advantage. It takes maybe a day longer than Priority, but is lower in costs. If you have a different way you prefer to ship, please contact me BEFORE purchase so it can be managed before it gets into the system. Thanks! END OF YEAR CLEARANCE!
