Featuring a pedestal cup with raised decoration around the foot, ornate pierced handle and scalloped edge to the saucer, both are brushed with gold in a sponging technique along the edge - each is finished with color transferware images of the CALIFORNIA REDWOODS ~ AVENUE OF THE GIANTS - saucer has a variety of tourist attractions such as the drive through tree. Purchased as a souvenir in the 1960s, both pieces bear the original EFCCO MADE IN JAPAN foiled labels. Condition is excellent with no wear or any kind - this has been displayed in a cabinet full of similar, kitschy souvenir items - fun addition to any California collection or display!
