Beautifully formed and beautifully decorated. Finest condition, no signs of use. Historical note: Franziska Hirsch is a unique character in the late 19th/Early 20th century history of fine porcelain. Beginning in 1894, Hirsch operated her studio in Dresden, Germany. She was well known for decorating in the highly detailed Meissen style. From 1894 until 1930, Franziska Hirsch's studio produced finely detailed porcelain pieces, usually utilizing the Meissen and Vienna styles of decorating. From 1894 to 1896 she used the Meissen mark with an H to sign her work. This is true with the 2 pieces we are listing today. Hirsch typically used blanks purchased from major porcelain manufacturers.
