The man is wearing a black suite with a white shirt, black shoes, and a black top hat. He is leaning on a light pole colored in dark green with a yellow light on top. The drunk's face an hand have flesh tone colors and his face shows details such as nose, mouth, blond hair, eyes and eyebrows. The piece which retains much of its original colors (better than 95%) is rather heavy for its size (a bit over 6 ounces) and very well made. The tail of the man's suit forms the hooked portion of the bottle opener while the light pole forms the handle. The piece has nice vivid colors such as the yellow, green, black, and white. The piece also has nice and interesting details such as the nose on the drunk's face, the shirt being out of his pants, and the yellow light on top of light pole. In our opinion this is a very nice vintage reproduction of a very well known antique bottle opener. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: Mid to late 1900s Origin: Probably made in the US. It was purchased in an estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Size: About ~4 1/8" long and is ~2 3/8" at its widest. As we indicate in the description, we believe this is a vintage reproduction of an antique bottle opener. The piece is beautiful and retains quite a bit of its original paint. However, it does have some color losses and the paint is chipped off throughout which can be seen in the photos.
