Description: This is a vintage Compaq 3 portable computer with expansion box. I plugged this in for the first time in 23 years, the fan came on and a small whiff of white smoke came out from around the display. The fan stayed on and it sounded like it was trying to boot up, the screen never did come on, but at least it stopped smoking.I think this thing is only going to be good for parts, the expansion kit seems to be a hard part to find, and the bag is made for the computer with the expansion kit. The computer and bag are dirty, but they will clean up with some effort. Thanks for looking.
