This is a rare and highly desired pen. It is made of casein and should never be put in water. There appears to be crazing on the cap, see pictures. It looks like a crack going from one breather hole to the other breather hole in the cap. It is stable and fine at this time. This pen is in great condition otherwise. It has a very responsive flexible gold nib. It is quite pretty and we have it paired with a similar looking pencil. They do not belong together as far as we know, but they could fool anyone because they are so very similar looking with the same pattern. The Pencil is a Conway Stewart Duro-point No.1.
