It is gold tone and the lid is done with embossed grape clusters and vines, flowers, and birds. lid that opens the The compact held powder at one time but is empty. That lid is inscribed with the Hudnut logo. There are no cracks in the mirror and it is still very clear. A puff is included. It has been used but still in good condition. The inside of the compact, as a whole, is very nice and clean. The back of the compact has a few stains, and the front has a few light scratches to be expected for age and use.
