We recently received (from a longtime collector) a large and very thorough collection of these beautiful 1" scale dollhouse pieces, and she’s added to the fun by supplying many sets with additional accessories, and in some cases, even dolls and pets! You will find every set is different, with different Ideal pieces, and hard-to-find pieces scattered throughout the listings. This lot is for everything you see: a beautiful gold, red and tan living room set, complete with Petite Princess gold sofa, tan tall side chair with matching ottoman (slight age discoloration), the Chinoiserie golden screen (hard to find not broken), two very rare 'marble' round tilt top tea tables (both work), the three piece teaset of teapot and two cups (again, hard to find), two matching green shade lamps, and the small 'crystal' and gold side table. Non-Ideal and artisan pieces include the vintage striped rug, the bisque dollhouse girl, the cute cat, the rather scared dog, books, vase of flowers, little rabbit sculpture, and red framed mirror. Ideal pieces are in good, mostly unplayed-with condition; of note, the pair of two folding tilt-top tables are quite hard to find in an unbroken state, and the full set of teapot and cups is equally difficult to find. ABOUT “ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED” complaints and vintage items: when you purchase a vintage or antique item, it is never going to be in new or perfect condition, and cannot be expected to be so. We have seen an unfortunate, but increasingly common, tactic crop up: thin complaints, always accompanied by a request for a partial refund, saying that an item is 'not as described'. When buying something preowned, it's easy for a less than honest buyer to pick a flaw out of the air and attempt to secure a partial refund over imagined or exaggerated 'imperfections'. If someone is looking for a way to get money back, sure, one can always find something, anything at all, despite any seller's carefully written description. So if there is anyone out there who is even considering employing this tactic, please pass us by.
