Description: Vintage Dominique Dinouart DDD Large Sterling Silver Ruby Pendant 18in Necklace. This is a beautiful necklace pendant from noted silversmith, Dominique Dinouart. Rendered in fine silver from Mexico, the pendant features an ornate design with a dangling polished Ruby stone at the center. The back of the pendant has her hallmark of DDD. The necklace is 18" long and the pendant measures 3.75" tall including the bale by 1.75" wide. Born in Paris, France, Dominique Dinouart was educated in the United States and studied art with an emphasis on sculpture. She often refers to her jewelry as "little sculptures," due to their unique three-dimensional appearance. "I attempt to wed the traditional look of handcrafted Mexican jewelry with my contemporary vision of jewelry, which is influenced in part by tribal cultures," stated Dinouart.
