This beautifully illustrated chart shows the internal and external anatomy of the Earthworm.This is quite a rare JKQ chart, and larger then the usual ones. SIZE (approx)Width (including poles):115cmLength: 145cm(without poles 105cm x 140cm) CONDITIONPrinted on paper, it is backed with canvas and has wooden poles top and bottom.This chart has spent most of its life rolled up in a school cupboard so the colours are still bright. Obviously these charts are not new so please check all photos before purchase. There is some wear across the chart some creases and cracks that come with age. The paper is quite fragile near the top dowel, this have been glued down in places and strengthened on the back with cross weave filament tape. These old charts were produced as educational tools for schools and colleges by teacher Heinrich Jung, artist and biologist Gottlieb von Koch and college director, Doctor Friedrich Quentell. The dark background acts as a chalk board which allowed teachers to annotate them during the lesson. First published by Frommann and Morian in the early 1900's Hagemann became involved in the production around 1928 first in conjunction with Frommann and Morian then on their own from around 1963.You can find modern reprints of these charts from many online sellers but they lack the atmosphere and history of the vintage ones.
