Description: Welcome to Milkweed Antiques. This fun rooster is made from spun cotton. He probably came in an Easter basket. He has a chenille pipe cleaner comb and wattle in red. He has black seed eyes. The feet and legs are wrapped wire I believe in paper or cloth. His beak is composition and orange. What is left of his tail is a white feather. This spun cotton rooster is larger than most at 4-1/4" tall x 1-1/2" wide x approximately 4-1/4" deep from the tail to the wattle. This rooster was made in Japan but no longer has it's paper label. It is from the 1930s. This rooster has been used through the years. As I mentioned above, his feather tail is just about gone. This is easily replaced if needed. The spun cotton has a nice patina. It was probably much whiter originally. Please see my pictures. They help with the description. My price reflects the condition. I love to consider reasonable offers.
