Description: The No 3A Folding Hawk-Eye Camera was made from 1908-1915. This is model 3 (there are 4 models). It took 3 1/4 x 5 1/2 exposures on 122 film. Fully closed the camera measures approximately 9 1/2 x 5 x 2. As with many Kodaks, the front opens with a button under the leather covering (this one is on the top of the camera). The black bellows pull out and can be locked in place. The bellows appear to be in good condition but they have lots of pinholes. The lens is a Rapid Rectilinear Bausch and Lomb. It has a Kodak Shutter. The shutter fires but I am not sure the speeds are accurate. The viewfinder has a silver hood on it. The leather covering is in good condition for the camera's age, but there is some wear. The strap, stamped with Kodak on it, is in good condition. The back pops off when you hold down a button and push another. These buttons are under the strap (see next to last picture). The inside of the camera is clean and there is a take up spool and an intact red window. There are two tripod holes. This is a beautiful display camera that is over 100 years old and would be a wonderful addition to a collection.
