Description: Excelsior Springs Mineral Water System empty clear glass bottle.Holds 7 ounces, 9 inches tall.Heavy glass weighs 1.01 pound. Manufactured by Owens-Illinois Glass Company plant #9 in Streator, Illinois.1940-1947, Probably 1941 according to mark 1. on the bottom. The "." dot behind the #1 was used for the years 1940-1947.The "1" itself is the last digit of the year, so that would make this 1941.This would be pre-WWII because of the heavier glass, as the WWII started later in 1941. Excelsior Springs, MO was a spa destination starting in the 1880'sdue to the discovery of natural spring water. It has decorative diamond shapes & ribbing in areas. Markings:Top front" Excelsior Top Back: Springs. You can easily see these in the photos. Bottom front: Mineral: Bottom back: Water System.Difficult to see in the photos. Bottom: 9 (plant #), then Owens-Ilinois mark, 1. (date) In the middle is a "1". I don't know what this means.7 oz below the 1. I did search on the Owens-Illinois Glass Co. website & catalog for the information.I also looked at websites for dating & plant locations. The last 2 photos were taken with a blue background.
