The coat has still an original label of Les Galeries Lafayette, the well known Parisian Department store. The caban as we call this kind of coat has the typical details of the sailor's cloth : a navy blue wool, large golden buttons figuring an anchor, double jacket collar, double boutonnage, martingale and a beautiful blue check cotton lining. The deadstock condition of the coat is just fine, having been stored in its original box. Textile Care Antique linen is a living material, if you treasure it, it will reward you a hundred times. A lot of antique textiles are so robust and wonderfully easy to wash and maintain.
