Description: French vintage oval doily in off white linen and handmade edge bobbin lace. This is a unique piece of "du Puy" style made in the early twentieth century by the "Experton Family Enterprise". This doily will look lovely on your table or tray, would make a stunning center piece for a celebration meal, or as an everyday feature piece. The lace is in perfect condition ( New Old Stock) and never been used, with some light dusty/tea storage marks from age and antique, hardly visible. Gently hand wash or soaked in soft natural soap, rinsed and towel dried (no wringing!!) and let to air dry on the line, if possible expose them under the sun light for a brighter color. A doily is an ornamental mat variously used for protecting surfaces or binding flowers, in food service presentation or as head covering or clothing ornaments. The listing is one piece. Let it air dry in sunlight if possible.
