Features several vineyard workers tending to the grape vines in a wide open rural field. Circa 1930-1940s. In very good vintage condition showing age appropriate wear. Framed in an nicely carved gold painted wooden frame with very minor paint loss. Please review all photos for an accurate depiction of condition. This oil on canvas landscape is signed, M. Rameau , lower right front corner by the artist, with a personal dedication also inscribed below the artist’s signature. On the back of the wooden frame is inscribed with the name of the piece, “Chemin des Vignes, en Touraine”, which means roughly translated, “Route of the vines, in Touraine”. Touraine is a province of France, in the Loire Valley. The dedication on the front reads:”En reconnaissant homage a mon Cher ami M. DuPont”.“Acknowledging respect to my dear friend Monsieur DePont”.
